What is the purpose of the interior panel?
The interior panel is a very unique feature of the Designer Catbox. The position of the hole in the interior
panel is located diagonally from the position of the exterior hole. The interior panel blocks litter from being
kicked out of the box. Any litter that makes it through the hole of the interior panel will end up in the interior
chamber, rather than on your floor.
What sizes does the Designer Catbox come in?
The Designer Catbox comes in one size. The dimensions are: 29.1” width by 20.6” depth by 20.8” height.
Can I setup the Designer Catbox with the hole on either the right or the left?
Yes, the outer hole can be set up on the right or the left, so that you can keep it hidden from guests.
I have a large cat. Will he be able to use the Designer Catbox?
We have found that cats are able to easily get themselves into small spaces. The dimensions of the hole
opening on the outside of the box and the hole on the interior panel is 7.5" wide by 8". This hole will usually
accommodate a large cat. If you think that your cat will have difficulty navigating through the interior panel
into the litter pan, you have the option to not install the interior panel when you are putting together your
Designer Catbox. Without installing the interior panel, the interior dimensions of the Designer Catbox are 26"
x 18.5". You will also want to make sure that your litter box is low enough so there is enough room for the cat
can step into the box.
Where can I find a litter pan that will fit in my Designer Catbox?
The Designer Catbox has been designed to fit a standard sized litter pan in the Large size (18.5"L x 15.25"W).
This can be found at any pet store or you can purchase the online at PetSmart. Note:
a larger litter pan will fit in the Designer Catbox if you do not install the interior panel; however, this is not
recommended as litter can then be kicked out of the box.
My cat often "misses" the box. Will this damage the Designer Catbox?
The interior of the Designer Catbox is designed to hold a litter pan, but not to withstand continuously getting
wet. If your cat misses the litter pan often, we recommend using a litter pan with higher sides (which we have
found in- store at Wal-Mart) and lining the inside of your Designer Catbox with a plastic bag.
How should I clean my Designer Catbox?
You can dust the top of your Designer Catbox or wipe it down with a disinfecting wipe or a damp sponge. Do
not use too much water. Sometimes a cat will track a small amount of litter onto the top of the box. Be careful
when wiping this off so that you do not scratch your Designer Catbox. If your cat has kicked litter into your
Designer Catbox, simply vacuum it out. If you would like to disinfect the inside of your Designer Catbox, you
can use a disinfecting wipe or a damp sponge, but be careful not to get the inside of the catbox too wet.
I am nervous that my cat will not want to use the Designer Catbox. What can I do to help her
begin to use it?
We have had hundreds of customers whose cats use the Designer Catbox without any problems. If your cat is
apprehensive at first, show your cat where the litter pan is. You can also try leaving the lid of the Designer
Catbox open for a few days so that your cat will get used to the new location. After a few days, close the lid
and your cat should have no problem finding her new litter box.
I have dogs that like to get into the litter box. Will the Designer Catbox help to keep them
out of it?
Yes. We have had many happy customers report that the Designer Catbox keeps their dogs from getting into
the litter pan.

Will the Designer Catbox hold an automatic litter box?
Without the interior panel the dimensions of the inside of the Designer Catbox are 26 in x 18.5 in. This can fit
some automatic litter boxes, so you will need to check the measurements of yours. You will also want to make
sure that your litter box is low enough so there is enough room for the cat to step into the Designer Catbox
from the exterior hole.
What colors does the Designer Catbox come in?
The Designer Catbox comes in two colors: black and white.
Do I have to install the interior panel?
No. If you would prefer to put a larger litter pan in your Designer Catbox, you can assemble it without the
interior panel.
Can I sit on the Designer Catbox.
Although the Designer Catbox is a sturdy piece of furniture, it is not designed to be a seat. While your cats will
enjoy spending time on the top of the Designer Catbox, we do no recommend that people sit on it.
Does Designer Catbox help contain the smell of the litter pan?
Yes. Because the litter pan is positioned away from the exterior hole, the smell from the litter pan is
diminished. Many of our customers have reported that the Designer Catbox has really helped contain the
smell of the litter pan.
